SOLD

Listing this project for sale as I have run out of time to finish as well as have a career/family.

1988 FJ62 with a 1993 5.9 Cummins. Comes with new intercooler, Ford 9 inch with custom dutchman axles and wilwood discs, etc. No transmission, but most of you wouldn't have wanted the auto anyway.

Motor is in the truck. Truck is soa'd. Interior, except headliner and dash, is out. Doors and glass are out. Front clip is off. Was going to cut out the little bits of rust, replace with fresh metal and repaint. I have rust free fender flares over rear tires to weld in after cancer is cut out.

Comes with custom built Hardline Fabrications DOM tube front bumper with 8k Smitty winch, as well as Hardline Fabrications DOM frame sliders. TG high steer kit and pitman arm. I'm sure there's other stuff I'm forgetting.

Build thread: '88 FJ62 6BT swap

Located in GAINESVILLE, FL. $7000 for all.

Make offer.

PICS BELOW

EDIT: NEW PRICE - $6500

PRICE DROP: $2000. I am moving soon and can't take it with me.

The Cummins is worth $2000. The axle was free, but the dutchman, richmond gear, and Wilwood kits cost me over $1200. So there is the entire asking price in just those two alone. Not to mention the hi-steer and other parts.

location and price?

Hey man hate to be a nuisance but I think I have the original motor for this truck, rebuilt and about to go in mine. Can you post the serial number of the original engine if it isn't too much trouble? Thanks man.

I'm assuming you mean the 3FE?

Don't have it. It was given to a forum member for parts as it was run without oil by the PO and had a severe knock. You don't mean the VIN do you?

I meant the casting number on the block. I'm not sure if it's printed on the data plate on the firewall or not, I'll check though.

I got it from 40tude, he described it as having "175k pulled for a diesel swap", that's all I got. Internals looked fine but I still had everything machined, new pistons and such.

Anyways I just like knowing where my stuff comes from for historical purposes.

That truck looks just like the one on Hardline Fabrications website by the way, just another cool tidbit I noticed.

Sold mine to Mel Lowe in Gville, FL. Had 296xxx on the clock.

My truck is the truck in the hardline front bumper photos. Pierre (the PO) was the first to ever have a bumper made by them, and subsequently his truck was used for their photos.

Cool, thanks for the info. Not mine I guess, although I probably looked at it when I was in his shop last week.

Thanks for your help and time for more research! :)

So is it still sitting on toyota axles? and comes with the 9 inch? did the np205 ever get mounted in or a driveshaft sorted out? also do you have any more pictures of the rusty parts of the truck? Thanks

More complete list. I WILL TRY TO GET PICS UP THIS WEEKEND.

Has a few spots of rust, over rear wheel well, drivers floor, a little rocker panel portion, and a little on the lift gate. I have rust free fenders from a donor 60.

1993 5.9 cummins with 149,xxx miles. Wiring harness, inter cooler, accessories.

NP205 transfercase. Ford, so it has to be run inverted.

1979 Ford 9 inch axle with Richmond ring and pinion (3.70), custom Dutchman axles drilled for toyota lugs, Wilwood disc brake kit.

Trail Gear high steer kit with pitman arm.

Hard line fabrications DOM tube front bumper with 8k Smittybuilt winch, and Hardline Fabrications DOM frame sliders.

Still on toyota axles. Ford 9 inch is ready to install (spent $1200 with Dutchman getting it ready). Np 205 is not in place yet, crossmember must be fabbed and driveshaft fabbed and installed as it's divorced.

I will try to get pics up this weekend.

How much do you want for the front bumper sans winch?

How much do you want for the front bumper sans winch?

$7000, and I'll throw in a free FJ62/6BT swap project!!!

Just kidding.

For the next little bit I am going to try to move everything as a package. I do have just the motor listed on local craigslist though. If the motor goes, or a few weeks pass without serious interest I will begin to part it out. I just want to avoid the parting out process right now as I'm already short of time.

If I do start parting it out I will put you first in line.

Right on bro

Wish the timing was about 2 months later. This is almost exactly what I'm looking for. GLWS!
