Today is the day, after looking at a 150 series (excuse me, a Lexus GX 460) and the Cruiser there was no comparison. Taking delivery on a Black one this afternoon! But have no fear the FJ60 isn't going away, it's a legend.

congrats man!!! The 60's series are def legendary but the 200's are also! You are gonna love it!

Love both trucks. That's a mean looking 60, you still drive it? Also what mpg are you getting now for city and highway on the 200 with those tires and lift?
We got rid of the 60 series but I'm always on the look out to grab another one, loved that truck! We average about 12 mpg in the 200!

Quality, not quantity.

I never understood the love for old LC's properly? The new one has airbags and more power. Not to mention better finish, features, aesthetics. I think my 200 is even more reliable than my 100 and will last longer.

The more I drive my 200, the less I love my 100. I never thought I'd get over my 100.

We made it, a bit of a longer drive then expected, but the 200 has officially replaced the FJ60 in the garage.

As for @Reckless point I'll always love the FJ60, I mean it was my first car. But after cruising over Vail pass to the western slope in the 200, I've got to say, it is a highway crusher. Can't wait to get it on the trails, if it's half as much better on the trails then it is on the road compared to the 60, this thing will be a perfect car.

My Fj62 just had character. With the 5 speed conversion that truck was truly awesome.

Every time I buy a newer series Cruiser I believe the recipe and results have gotten better and better! I felt this way back when I moved from my 80 series to a 100 series! And when I jumped from a 100 series to a 200 series I was blown away by how much better the rig is at everything! Our 200 series is my fav Cruiser yet, by a landslide, I never get tired of driving it!!! My 200 is better in every category over my 60 series, offroad, flex, better traction, faster, more comfortable, safer, holds more etc etc etc... But there was something about driving that old 60 series that put a smile on my face!

Congrats on the new rig!!! Our 200 series stock was 2 or 3 times better offroad than our 60 series was from our experiences!

That's amazing. Out of curiosity are you comparing the FJ60 stock, or modded?
stock to stock! The 60 series with open diffs, small tires and limited flex suffered offroad compared to the 200 series. Just my experience putting them head to head on local trails...

Got our 200 a couple of months back.
We now have the 2014 TTD VX and the 1988 hj61 12ht 5 speed manual GX in the driveway. I still prefer driving the 60, but the 200 has amazing power!!
