Hey guys and gals. I am starting the designing phase of multiple storage drawers and possible pull outs with a stove platform, etc. I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some photos of stuff they have built or stuff they may have purchased? I searched the thread but didn't find much. I'm sure its there just didn't look hard enough. Anyway this would be for the rear area of the cruiser. I am definitely going to get creative and somehow make it workable when the seat is up too. Im a carpenter by trade so am decent at wood and some metal work. Haven't explored composites yet but am open to ideas. Please post pictures if you can. Thanks a million!!

For me ...building the drawers cabinet as a sleeping platform, height was paramount in designing the drawers. The higher up you go the more space you loose to be able to crawl around on top of it. I tried to stay just over the wheel wells and no higher. If I tried to go as high as the bottom of the side windows I don't think I could get on my hands and knees without hitting the headliner.

Another consideration is securing the box/platform. If you do any kind of 4 wheeling or are just safety conscience consider bolting or securing it to the floor. FWIW the side metal support straps that the rear quarter interior panels mount to do NOT make good anchor points. They are weak if you try to put any kind of lateral pressure on them. I used a ratchet strap across my box on my first offroad event and it easily pulled the trucks metal straps and deformed them.

Yes I am considering all of this. Thanks for the info and link. I plan on making everything removable with L track. Securing the track to the body of the truck and making all the cabinet storage removable by track in case I need the cabinets out for any reason. I also plan on a modular system thats easily removable. I will post pics and my design after I start fabrication.

I have emailed the guy that makes them on here, but he doesn't make them for the 60. H55 going in now and this is my next project. I am considering building them with my dad similar to the ones you see built on here by a mud member (KISS). Also considered buying these and building around them. They are about the perfect size for a 60...depth I am looking for too and I could always move them to another later.

Here's my stuff. It's a KISS drawer from Landshark Outfitters with a custom table and fridge slide. I put it together in a couple weekends and have since added some marine carpet on top of the KISS drawer. Works great and the KISS drawer is plenty large enough for my entire camp kitchen (pots, plates, cups, coffee implements, two burner stove) and some general camp gear (lamps, gloves, stakes, small hatchet, etc...). Securing the whole lot together and to the truck was difficult. I found some climbing anchors on Amazon and drilled them out to the size of the rear seat bolts. I anchored the back with turnbuckles. The front was trickier. I found a airplane L track which I was able to drill to match up with the existing screw holes for the trim piece back there and again, turnbuckles. It's been working great so far and I'm really pleased with the outcome.
