Thanks! That engine bay is so nicely done.@sixtyseries this is how I did this on a lq9 385hp its a 62 box can see how small the inlet into the box is can see the piece i cut off in the background in one of the pics. Can do all this but if the snorkel is small not sure how much you would gain.

Anyone know if there are any options that work on a 60 for getting more air into the engine. Have the Safari Snorkel right now, but after an LS engine rebuild, my mechanic is suggesting that the snorkel may not be let enough air in. Maybe a snorkel with a larger air tube? Anybody come across this? Thanks!
We haven’t yet. build is just about done. In my research the throttle body is right over 3”. Just a concern he brought up to me about the snorkel maybe choking the airflow since it’s a smaller diameter than my hoses.Has your mechanic checked airflow values over the MAF sensor with the snorkel installed vs without, and driving vs idling still, yet? That should give you a good indication of what the actual difference will be.
well, if a 2f has got issues, physics tells me a warmed over 6l is gonna be pissed trying to breath
More just because it’s there. Wouldn’t mind making a small effort to keep it functional, but not the biggest concern for me really.Thats basically what i said in my previous post that all the big intake stuff can be done but at the end the snorkel will still be the limiting factor just like the small intake port into the 62 box its small af but plenty for a 3fe. If someone is willing to pay i am sure a larger snorkel can be made but not sure how it would look. @sixtyseries do you actually need the snorkel? Or just want to keep it because its already there?
Yep, sure will! This actually all started when I found a crack in my block. So, it had been swapped before this. Went ahead and swapped to an aluminum block and made some power upgrades along the way. thanks for the convo guys!Cool would still like to see some pics once you get it back in your hands either way it will still be double the power double the pleasure double the fun.
