I'm at 286k with a refreshed cylinder head, completely new cooling system, up to date maintenance and an original shortblock.
I've had it 3-6 hours at 2700rpm without issue. Almost ten thousand miles since I've bought it. 3k of which were with a terrible misfire. It averages 10 city and 14-15 highway and loves being at constant load. Mileage didn't drop with the lift and I'm on 33" tall tires with 3.7 gears in the differentials. It won't gain speed over some of the big bridges but I can hold constant speed in the slow lane. I've had it at 76mph on flat ground on a good day.
Best things I've done to help this truck are the trollhole carb, ome steering damper and finding non ethanol fuel when possible.
I carry basic fluids, a factory fuel pump (only because I'm lazy and haven't changed it) back up fuel and oil filters and basic hand and wiring tools. Ten months of daily driving it and I've had no issues at all.
I'm pushing for 300,000 miles just because I can.
