I'm on a road trip through New Orleans and my almost new OME shock has popped off the passenger side, lower rear shock mount. Does anyone know the specs on those bolts? And the size of the OME bushing?

I'd like to fix it before I get back on the road as I'm driving all the way to Maine.

I knocked my shock off on the trail recently....my tiny slice of a pro tip is when you do find a replacement bolt make sure ya get the right size washer too :) Beno def will have the info on the bolt. There's a Toyota dealer in Shreveport, give them a ring to see if they have a bolt their shelf?

Unless someone chimes in with a better solution, for the bushing I'm thinking:

You could call ARB in Redmond, WA @ (425) 264-1391 - they have always been super helpful to me and maybe for the cost of shipping they'd mail ya a new one if you have the time.

or

Call these folks, they seem to be the closest ARB dealer to New Orleans: Performance Muffler & Truck Accessories, LLC

or

Find the closest 4wheelparts store and call of see if they have any OME shocks in stock

or

If you're going through Atlanta there's ACC and I bet they keep OME shocks in stock.

I appreciate the replies. Unfortunately, I've got to be out of here Saturday so having something shipped to me likely won't work. If I can't find a suitable bushing (might call ARB and see if they have ideas for a temp one), do you think driving as-is will be an issue? I guess I could remove the shock entirely for now.

3 of the options were semi-local solutions that could be on your route North, since ya can't wait for shipping. But @reevesci is prob on the right track with a local suspension shop being the ticket

Talked with ARB and they're overnighting a bushing, good call on that @theron. I'll also try a local shop for a bolt.

I'm not sure how the bushing came out. The roads here are pretty horrific but everything was torqued correctly. I do remember the stock bolt being in pretty rough shape though.

Maybe not, was new in April 2015 so it does have some miles.

I've heard from more than 1 person out on the road with an FJ60/62 losing a bushing and bolt. Guess ya gotta lock-tite 'em

I know what you've done with your rig since April and that's what most do in a few years to a lifetime with their cruisers. I had a guy swing by and I swapped his shocks (?? brand for Bilsteins) and he had cut the bushings in two because he couldn't figure out how to press them into the shock eye. :slap:

And for the Toyota purist...

Bolt: 91611-61020
Washer: 90948-03007
Washer: 90948-03004

Verify with vendor.

@skinner87 - man, sorry we missed each other. My phone's MIA at the moment - sofa, laundry, hmm. . .I'll find it shortly. Text if you're within 100 or so miles and need help. Otherwise, I'll catch up with you when you hit NOLA again. . .
