I would be interested in grey for a 1989 FJ62. But, it has an H55 swap. Can that be accommodated?......ie, the dead pedal is gone......needs carpet there. Trans shifter is obviously moved......like an FJ60 I would presume. Thanks.

If it's gonna be awhile before your guy starts making these sets, put me down for a grey one.

View attachment 1193580 View attachment 1193579 A well respected member(@reevesci) has sourced an upholsterer to make full cut and sewn carpet sets. @reevesci had a set made using his original set as the pattern. The carpet is OE style loop with 28oz jute backing. The pics shown are Reevesci's set.

This thread is to organize a group buy of 10 sets in either blue/grey(my color), or the brown that is pictured. I'll try to get a sample picture of the blue/grey and post it. The price would be $850.00 per set shipped to any of the lower 48 states. It must be 10 sets of the blue/grey color, or 10 sets of the brown color, or 10 sets of both colors.

If you've searched for a decent carpet set, you know there are 2-3 other options available. My own opinion of these is; (a) the price is a premium for a so-so appearance, (b) the grade of materials and fit is poor.

This set looks good(like OE) and is fairly priced. I'll admit the fit of the set is a bit unknown at this point. However I'm confident the fit will be reviewed by Reevesci with his initial set. If you're seen Reevesci's products and builds, you know quality is a high priority with his own creations as well as the vendors he sources from.

I will be interested in Jason's feedback on the fit etc...eventually I'll need a source for a few grays and some brown sets. My two grays have the later 60 set up with the lower profile mounts (front seats) and the brown ones are earlier with the higher mounts. Does this come into play when forming the cutouts in the front carpet section? Thanks, Jim.

IMO yes the different height seat mounts change the cut-outs. With the variations between model years of the 60 and the 62 shifter and rear heater locations I'm thinking it would be best for everyone to do their own cut-outs. Just my thoughts, some others may not want to tackle that. Definitely helps if you still have the OE carpet set.

I have a 62 with h55. I would be interested in the front section in brown. I'm willing to cut my own holes.

Ok, a little update. I'm slammed and I'm behind guys, sorry!

Molded and vinyl are out. He has checked with over 20 third party companies and none have the mold. Can source in Australia, but with shipping we are looking at 1000.00+ with a 20 complete piece order.... OUCH!

Poppy (my '84 ) will go to him next Wednesday for FULL INSTALL!

1) carpet fit and adjustment (new pattern if needed) complete install with foil backed jute padding.
2) seat cover install
3) wheel well cover design and install
4) new synthetic, mold and waterproof door cards with complete upholstery

Verify grey-blue carpet color sample.

I need a front and middle section from a 62 for him to make a copy of. IIRC the middle is slightly different from the 60 series. Color doesn't matter. Currently we don't have enough guys to make a run on this series.

Thanks,

Jason

Thanks for the update Jason! So I'm a little confused. What out? Looking forward to seeing Poppy when it's all done for fit and finish of the carpet.

Roger that. Look forward to seeing how it looks and your thoughts. Thanks Jason!!

Jason, so are we still working on a group buy here on the Grey 60 series carpet. I know that Poppy is getting fitted now and I look forward to seeing the finished product.
