I just took a look. My FJ62 (grey interior) and FJ60 (blue/grey interior) are sitting side-by-side in the driveway so I could open rear doors and do a direct comparison. The FJ62 carpet doesn't really appear to have any blue in it at all, and there's definitely a difference between the two colors, even though baoth are faded, maybe to a different extent.

Even indirect UV fades the material. Need to look at the color under a seat to verify. I'm pretty sure the 62 is darker - more towards a charcoal.

If anyone is willing to cut a small sample 2" x 2" piece from under a seat let me know. This will be the best way to get the best possible match.

To stir things up a little:

All of my FJ-60's and FJ-62's have the same dark grey (with a bluish hint) carpet. It's the same color as the dash pads, the seat vinyl, the consoles, and the seat belts. It isn't a straight charcoal grey. There might be a difference between early model 60's with the high floor seat mounts, the low center console, and the darker grey seat fabric.

You can put me down for a brown set. Winter project includes sound proofing and rust repair. Understand it may take a while for brown order to fill it, OK by me.

Just got back from talking with him.

He prefers to do full sets, but said he would look at partials if enough kits were ordered. He showed me a couple of blue/grey samples and he is going to order in a yard of each. Said the little 2" x 2" squares were MISLEADING.. I should have a good visual on it shortly, about a week he said.

I also inquired on matching door panel and seat covers sets along with wheel well covers... I think I overwhelmed him a bit... HA!

He is also going to look into a molded set as well. It will be less expensive if his source has the mold. Just another avenue here. Not sure on $$ for those. But, should be able to get the molded sets in vinyl as well if they have the mold he said.

All I know for now.

Thanks for the info Jason. I would be interested in the door, seat and wheel well materials as well. Those items with the carpet would address the majors for my interior restoration.

I would really would like to get in on this group buy (Gray) but i have been out of worked for the last 3 months,just finally got called back to work lately. This is a one time group buy for now. Right now the list for brown interest is at 4 so it may take awhile to get 10. That may fit your timeline. Also once the order is placed the leadtime is approximately 4-6 weeks.

I'll let @reevesci predict when the initial install will be done.
