Greetings all,
We’ve decided to sell most of our earthly possessions and purchase an expedition RV (unimog) and go for an around the world bid over the next 18 months with my wife and three young kids. As such, I’m listing our 60 for sale.
It’s a 1983, 150,000+\- miles, runs beautifully, mostly stock. It has a new billet radiator, replaced hoses and parking brake cable. I have the stock carb that was rebuilt and tuned by JimC, along with all the bits to desmog though that hasn’t been done yet.
I bought it from the original owner in IL 4 years ago, sight unseen, and drove it 1800 miles home back to UT. It drives straight and runs right along just great. I’ve made several long distance trips since then and wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross country tomorrow. The original owner had the doors and top removed by a body shop and then had them cap and finish it so it looks really nice. It has been garaged it’s entire life and the condition of the exterior is evidence of that. I had intended to have doors put back on it but it turned into our summer around town and desert runner so we never got around to it. I have 5 doors from another 60 included. It also has a bikini top and safari top. The original seats and bench in back have all been reupholstered in marine-grade vinyl.
Mechanically and cosmetically the truck is in great shape. It runs and drives great. There are a few scratches and dents on the exterior, nothing major at all. No rust. The paint on the floor of the interior could use some attention, purely cosmetic.
Send me a message if you’re interested. It is located in OGDEN, UT, about 35 min north of the Salt Lake City airport, 4 hours north of Moab. Cash in person, or bank transfer only. No checks, I don’t care about the Princess of Nigeria
