My dad and I have recently become the proud owners of a 1983 HJ60, and have started the long process of fixing close to 40 years of neglect. I've spent some time looking for totaled 60s to pull parts from and have yet to find a lot, but there is a lot of wrecked 80s being parted out. I wanted to know what parts are interchangeable between the two, and which ones you would take off the 80 to make the 60 a bit better, like grab handles and stuff like that.

Early model FJ80's (90-92) share the same alternator and a bunch of other engine items. Their transmission, ECU, Idle speed control valve are different to name a few. Given that you are running a 24V system? I doubt you can swap much off them to yours.
Rear diff is physically the same size. All US spec 80’s are 4.11 gear ratio.
