FJ60/2F Temp Sender Adapter (1 Viewer)

All, putting on sniper currently and want to keep the stock temp gauge in dash working.

Whats the female/male adapter that goes in to the block? Male, 1/2" t to Female 3/8"?

Not sure about the male/block side, but the female threads on that adapter are M16x1.5

There's a thread from around 2007 IIRC that talks about the fittings for senders on the 2F. I think the one in the block was British Pipe Thread or something like that, or the JIC equivalent.

I've also read about people drilling the existing adapter out and tapping it for whatever they need.

These threads have more info (the first one is the most thread specific). I was trying to figure all this out myself the last couple days so I could order a mechanical temp gauge.

The Toyota temperature sender is calibrated to the stock gauge. If a different sender is used, (even an aftermarket sender that's "supposed to work with the 2F") the needle position on the stock gauge will be different
