Did my startup today and attempted breakin. My block temp read 245 at one point, and the head was like 260 for about a minute. Crept up very fast, and couldn't get coolant in without it regurgitating! We kept going for a few more minutes, Told my buddy to tell me when it was past halfway on temp guage, he didn't tell me until it was 80% of the way up, but like I said it happened raidly over the course of a minute.
There were about 2.5 gallons of coolant in there. I let it cool off gradually, the whole rig ran for 10 minutes total with a 10-minute break in between.
TDLR Could I have caused damage to this beast of an engine?
