FJ45LV Suspension

Hey guys! I am ready to get new suspension for my 1967 LV and I am wondering if the "ARB - OME - FJ45 Lift Kit - 2" Light Load w/ Shackle and Pins" that they sell at CruiserCorps would be a good fit and if I should go with "Light Load" or "Heavy Load" for an LV that will be used mostly for commuting and not wheeling.

I'd appreciate any guidance on a kit that would fit and would made the ride smooth.

I would call Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. He’s a dealer and he’s well-versed on the OME stuff.

My understanding is that the “heavy” is a set-up if the truck has add-on items such as a winch, sliders and heavy duty front an rear bumpers. There is extr spring capacity to compensate. If your truck doesn’t have thise items, the kit you have shown should be fine.

I put the ome kit on mine and lm very happy with it. It’s only a 2.5 lift so I think it gives it a good stance and I’m able to run larger tires. Ome stuff is proven and tested I wouldn’t go any other way and when you buy the kit it all fits perfectly with no issues. Call Kurt he’s got the goods.

Also, it’s pretty easy to remove/add leafs if you feel the ride isn’t quite what you’re looking for. There’s an old thread here somewhere detailing an OME install on my SWB.
