Looks fantastic. I really like the diesel.

I saved your pics of the floors for my reference files. I will be doing all the same basic stuff. Were you experienced with doing sheet metal work like that previous to this LV? I'm a bit intimidated by the work that needs to be done on my floors. What was the hardest part?

Nice truck. Love the color and the diesel setup.

I have had a little experience of welding but not much on sheet metal, you just have to dig in and take your time. preparation of the metal was the hardest part, trying to weld to rusty material. I used a harbor freight sandblaster to clean the best i could. Then by using thin cardboard material to start building templates. It will just come together. I also used my 110 welder with .030 wire instead of .035. There were a lot of re do's on the way. Hope that helps.

You know, it really does help. Seeing a very similar approach to what I have planned for my LV is very helpful and the pics make me think I can and will do it soon (floor repair). I don't have a sandblaster or a good compressor but I do have a good welder. Most of the threads on LV's have sheet metal work that is restoration quality and It seemed kind of "out of my league". I'm going to be building a nice looking, safe, wheelin' LV. Not a show stopper.

Just a couple more questions regarding your floors; What tools did you use to cut the old and the new steel shapes and which brake did you have from HF? I may get away with not sandblasting but I believe I am going to need a sheet metal brake. And also, maybe you mentioned it but what gauge sheet did you use?

Thanks for posting up your work. Maybe after 7 years of letting my rig collect dust I'll have something to share soon. Been working on it every day ;)

I love it. I want I want I want:bang::bang::bang:

Justin

You've got the LV body....

I've got an H I'd sell real cheap in a bit.... I'd even deliver it to you.

Just thought I'd give you a hand coming up with reasons you need to do this. That is all.

Dan
