Hello everybody.

Just starting to post here on Mud after lurking and learning here a long time. Though y'all would enjoy a couple pics of my 1966 FJ45 truck - when I bought it, it had a flat bed with stake sides. Used it in the High Sierras as a work truck, logging truck and general bad ass ride on the trails around Sequoia National Forest. Sold it to a friend, who offloaded it later. These days I'm an 80 Series guy...

Man do I wish I never sold that truck!

Cool old truck. Any idea where it ended up and if it's still alive? Hopefully you didn't do what I did with my LV 25 yrs ago :bang:. If I had only known :crybaby:

Great photos, Thank you for sharing with us.

Sure brings a smile to see one of these old trucks doing the job intended. Thanks.

Have been thinking about tracking it down. Been a long time but knowing people, it’s probably sitting in some dude’s barn waiting to be rescued.

Well, what did you do with your LV 25 years ago ?
I wasn't using it so lent it to somebody who blew the engine, sat in my yard for a couple of years and I figured "what would I ever do with that old thing" so it went to the crusher :frown:. Maybe some of it was recycled into an 80 :D
Those are actually pine needles.
What were the pine needles used for??

We just burned them in a huge burn pile. It was fire abatement - raking pine needles from within 30' of your cabin was a US Dept. of Forestry requirement. Those things burn with a vengeance! The area had a couple hundred cabins close by. I did a vibrant business and gave employment to a good crew each Spring.
