I’m looking for a set of 1964 fj45 swb tail light lenses. I will take reproductions or whatever I can get. I could also use the rear window rubber. I know it’s a long shot but I thought I’d try. I’m finally going to restore it.

more info needed
2 different versions of the taillights, depending on if they were in the bed or the rear crossmember
which cab version do you have? as there are different windows depending on which version you have

Good call Paul (hey, that rhymes!😛)

I can see the split window in the avatar. If it’s under bed light lenses, I think these guys were selling them at one point:

Wow, thank you so much!
I appreciate you being so helpful.
The lights are mounted in the bed and are the round ones.
I am going to restore this because the bed is starting to rust a bit. I’ve driven this for years and would like to hand it down to to my boys. They love it.

@65swb45 Mark unfortunately they’ve closed up shop. I only know because I was going to contact them to see if they’d be interested in making a early 40/45 part.

@idahofj40cruiser sweet rig with nice patina! They’re only original once. I hope you keep the patina and restore the mechanical! Are you wanting to replace just the lenses or the whole taillight housing?

If just the lenses you can find them here:
FJ40 Tail Lights - Specter Off-Road - https://www.sor.com/cat/148
You might also check with other vendors who actually support this site. Marks Off-road, Valley Hybrids, Cruiser Outfitters, etc.

Last 2 pics contain the part number if you contact Toyota or one of the vendors. Pic from @pardion
I seem to remember that Toyota still sells one version (diameter) of the taillights I just don’t remember which version it was? But I could be wrong!?!?! Maybe someone will confirm.

If you want the whole housing you find it here:

Thank you so much for your help, my boys and I are going to restore this. My six year old is obsessed with this truck.
I have the in bed round lights and the sliding rear windows.

I would like to keep the patina but stop the rust. I haven’t ever done that though. What do I need to do to stop the rust but keep it as is? The only rough parts are on drivers side bed and one of the cross beams underneath.

Thank you
I just pm him.

If I were you, I would buy the whole assemblies while they’re still available. The bulb sockets can’t be in great shape after 60 years, and you will realize this once you take the lenses off…and watch the lens gaskets crumble to bits.

Wow, I owe you big time man!
If you are ever out this way I’ll share some fishing holes and hunting spots.

Just trying to repay the knowledge, parts, etc that have been shared with me. But if you really want to make a bunch of guys happy start a restoration thread in the 45 section. We enjoy being able to follow along!

Do you have any available for purchase by chance? I’ll probably order them from SOR today

the split window rubber was reproduced1-2 years ago
I remember seeing the thread in the 45 sub section

I think this is it:

Yes I do. I am out running errands at the moment. I should be back in the shop within the hour.

Sweet rig. Pics of interior and engine bay?

Here’s where to get the rear window gaskets for your SWB FT rig. You still have yours, are they in bad shape?

We offer the pre-built early tail lights. These include the 2 filament bulb setup.
