Hi,

I am new to the LC/mud community and am drinking from a waterfall for LC knowledge. I apologize upfront for mistaken/incorrect information.

I recently bought a 1981 FJ40 that has AC in it and I recently discovered it needs a new radiator. I called specter to order a new one and was informed that there are no radiators made to replace the Oem radiators that work with AC.

Does anyone have any input and recommendations for replacing the bad radiator currently in there with one made to work with the AC?

Thank you.

Are you sure you have factory AC in the truck?

If it is an aftermarket unit, you can get a radiator for your truck from a lot of places.

:meh:

If it's a core leak that can't be fixed, any good radiator shop worth its' salt should be able to re-core it.

And you can likely get yours re-cored for less than 599. Measure the width of the radiator, I know mine is a factory AC radiator so we can compare dimensions.
