my pistons and rods came all i need is a flywheel and i can get the motor work done. i am going to sale the ls300 saturday:cheers: . buy a civic and spend more $$$$ on the fj so i can go play some time it 06.:grinpimp: and hope to get to call sor for some seals , bushing and bolts.
 
will a mid 80s s10 5 speed tilt steering column work in my 40. thanks
 
was going to order my shocks.a set of bilstein 5150 but i do not know what valving to use they have two types. 170-60 or 255-70 i think the 255s are the way to go with a 14 in travel. some help would be good before i spend 2 bills
 
i sold my tsi to day came home and found a nv4500 so my new tranny should be here next week:cheers:
 
i got my new shocks today bilstein 5150 14 in travel. going to see i friend about buying a welder.
 
i got the rear shock mocked up in place. cut holes in the floor. made an upper shock mount out of cardboard will put on steel some time this week. had to cut some of the coil buckets on the right side damn stock toy axle i used 13 1/2 in of stroke out of the 14in travel thanks for the good info on what shock to run tranny should be here some time this week but i need a bellhousing for it and a tcase adapter will get some pics up tonight:beer: and one other thing has anyone put a gas tank under the drive side seat. not much room under the 40
 
the earlier model 40's had the tank under the seat. Mines a 73' 45 and the tanks under the seat.
 
pics are here tell me what you think. i know the shocks are not at the right ride height. it was easie r to work with them in the band.:grinpimp:

Don't worry about not getting much feedback. People look, but just do not comment. Been there too. You get a bunch of work done and post up the pics and you have like two folks to say something.

thanks. my tranny is here. looks to be in shape. need to find a bellhousing for it
 
got some new parts got a bellhousing t case adapter rear tranny mount. headres and a welder are no the way would like to get back in the shop some time soon
 
would long tube header work with a lt1 and a nv4500 and keep it in side the frame.thanks for the help
 
looks really cool - just don't do good work and paint it like neon green and flamer orange.. keep it neat clean and black or something
 
long tube headers will be tough..
