Hey all -
Another really easy question (maybe) but I can't find the answer by searching.
What size and thread pitch are the bolts for the tow hooks on the front of an FJ40 frame? They seem larger than a standard M12, and seem to have a 2.0 thread pitch, but I had an M14x2.0 bolt laying around, and it's definitely too large (won't fit through the frame or the hook).
M13 doesn't exist, but the diameter of the un-threaded shoulder portion of the bolt I pulled out measures about 12.5mm in diameter (even after sanding down the rust), Typical M12 bolts are fractionally under 12mm (ie: 11.85mm).
Are these a special type of bolt? I'd prefer not to re-use mine as they're pretty badly rusted. I assume grade 10.9 strength here.
