Just curios..is all of the hardware there to mount on a 1974 Fj-40? Not sure I can see the mounting hardware etc..Asking the same question in another way...What ,if anything, is missing for one to mount on whatever year this would be workable on?

Yes, the hardware is there to mount the winch. It is all in the blue bin that I have pictured, just a bit hard to see. Took it apart as I was going to restore it and then sold the 40 before ever getting around to doing so.

3 speed or 4 speed .the winch support and some other parts are not in the photos so some folks may not be clear on what you have .it may not be the price but lack of parts showing

Not sure whether it is 3 or 4 speed. How do you tell? Winch supports are there, just in the blue bin pictured above. If you look closely you can see them.

the whole one side of the winch is missing and its not in the blue bin .was the truck it was on a 3 speed or a 4 speed ?

The parts are all there. It was not installed on my 40.

Kaiser,

I have to agree with everyone else. The pictures do not show all the parts that are necessary to install this winch. You may have all of the pieces, but they are not all in the pictures.

You are missing the long shaft that will connect the winch to the PTO box.

And as Shelfboy has said, you are also not showing the left part of the winch that has the brake attached

And you also do not show the angle iron pieces that attach the winch to the truck.

There are also the shims, but I don't expect you to have those as they often go missing over the years.

Pictures are free, if you really want to sell this thing, and at $550 for a complete winch you will sell it fast, show the pics of all the pieces, take the pieces out of the blue bin and make it clear what you have. You have a good price, but shipping is a bear with winches, I know, I got mine shipped from Las Vegas to Canada.

I'm not trying to call you out. It's just that you think that all the pieces are in the blue bin, but they are not.

Greetings Larry!

Thanks for all the time and effort that you put into taking photos and highlighting the parts that you do not see. I can confirm that all of these parts are there (driveshaft, brake, brackets etc but no shims) as the winch was completely assembled prior to taking it apart. I have asked my wife to take the parts out of the bin and photograph all of the parts (some of these parts are not winch related but whoever buys the winch can have whatever is in the bin). Would do it myself if I were home but I am currently in West Africa. So it is just taking some time for her to do this but I will post the pictures just as soon as I get them. May have them posted up today.

Here are the parts that I have. I do not see the brake but it may still be in garage somewhere. Obviously not all of the parts shown are PTO parts. But you would be buying everything that you see here for $550 plus shipping.
