Hey everyone,
Just putting a feeler out there but I just sold my last car and now I am on the hunt for another fourty again! Not to serious right now but as soon as spring rolls around I will be ready to buy. Heck if its a good deal I would jump on it now but anyways let's get to my requirements. As far as those go I really don't have many. It has to be a driver, not looking for a complete restoration or a complete off road rig as my price range will be from 3 to 5k and that will have to include shipping. Back to the requirements, has to have power steering, disc brakes, 4 speed, and preferably a stereo. A 2f is preferred. I honestly don't care as much about cosmetics as I know my price range won't really leave me with anything beautiful, but I'm looking for something fun! I want the frame to be solid and that's pretty much all I care about rust wise. Thanks all and if you have any other questions feel free to email me at jckramer47@gmail.com

Charlie

Well fellow mudders I'm proud to say as of tomorrow I will be getting my new 40! It's a June 1977, got it from a great guy on the forum. Will post pics tomorrow, it's good to be back!

Congrats.

Did u ever check out the green 74 on craigslist?

You know I really meant to but the one I eventually ended up getting was everything I wanted and a lot less than what the 74 was asking so I never really got around to it.

ill get some more when I get home

June 1977, 350 v8 crate motor, nv4500, saginaw power steering, 33x12.5 bfg all terrains, corbeau seats, original jump seats, hfs 4 inch lift and what appears to be shackle reversal. I will get more pics later. Of course when I got it saturday after I drove it around once and got back to my house the starter had went out so I replaced the starter and the battery yesterday. Runs like a charm!

Frame is completely solid, interior as well, rear sill is completely shot, bottom of passenger door is rusted out, both rear corners are starting to bubble so I am definitely going to have to get some bodywork done in the future :( but the top half is in really good condition.

The green 74 isn't too bad. The guy said he had the rear body entirely rebuild with new sheet metal. Looks alright in the rear I suppose. A little surface rust coming through in the fender wells. It is a one time owner from Michigan. Engine was rebuild mostly everything is original. What it didn't have and why I didn't buy it for the price: no hard top, no metal doors, no tail gate doors (just a piece of metal bolted across, and no jump seats. At the time it wasn't running either. I couldn't splurge the cash for it like that.

It was up until Saturday morning :) John if you delivered pizzas in this I think it's safe to say that it was the most badass pizza delivery truck of all time, also had some more trouble getting her fired up tonight after it was starting well this morning so I'm going to get the starter shimmed tomorrow and go from there. And if anyone is up in Edinboro I heard johns wildwood pizza is the place to eat

Seriously he wanted that kind of money for a cruiser that didn't run with no jump seats and you'd think if he got the rear rebuilt he would get the tail gate doors  I was curious as to why it had been on Craigslist for so long as it looked to be in good shape but now I know
