Hey all,
Quick question... As spring/summer approaches I'm thinking about taking the 45's top off. Has anyone ever fitted a factory fj40 roll bar on a 45? I know that having a separate bed which will flex a bit might make the 40 roll bar move a bit, but other than that, what are some opinions from the 45 gurus about this approach? I have a fj40 bikini top sitting in my garage, and I will need a roll bar of some kind to fit the bikini top to. There is a really reasonable fj40 roll bar on craigslist, and it would be cheaper and sturdier than a custom bent piece of tubing... Thoughts? Cheers, Joel

Looks like he had it made to exact measurements regarding cab height, width, length and the 3 stock mounting points on each side. It is 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I have a headache rack on mine and don't need it. Besides I like the top-on look, but only on Land Cruisers
