I noticed the tube and thought the same thing. Could be for a washer for the wipers that aren't or maybe how they ran power for the same MIA wiper motors.

That's about what mine looked like, but with a pink striped sheet in place of the high tech celotex. :princess: Still haven't fixed my condenser since last year......:bang:

The humidity isn't too high for the swamp cooler? I wish they would work here............water, water, everywhere. Hmmm, maybe if I pump from the stream and keep the shop exterior wet I can drop the interior temp a few degrees.

Which condenser is that? Old and have a bad memory.:bang: This isn't the A/C on the house is it? Around here that isn't something that gets put off.

Humidity is pretty high (rained this morning) but if I stay directly in front the cooler the air isn't that bad. Plus since my compressor isn't commercial grade I am limiting the amount of time I run it using the die grinder. Besides forty pounds of hitch I think forty rods were used to weld it on.:bang: I do need to get a drier for my air line. Getting moisture in the air is something I am not use to.

:) A rare high hood FJ40. Interesting way of getting the 3-53 to fit.

Anyone into hockey??

Anyone into hockey??

I painted this goalie mask for my wife's, cousin's, kid. He's been playing for a few years now, and getting pretty good...last year they got to the playoffs, which is a big deal, so I figured I'd help boost is moral when they lost their last game, so this week I offered to airbrush his old white mask, and rusty grill.

This low res cell phone pic doesn't do it justice...nice crisp lines, with lots of candy paints over gold base for that deep, rich color with that deep wet look...

What do you guys think?

PS, I'm a Canadien's fan, and it was hard for me to paint this Bruin's styled mask...lol

That is pretty fierce, show us head on. :)

Dean, everyone keeps doing these perfect restos maybe you should start offering services to add "rust" and patina. ;)

Very nice Dean!

I am a hockey fan ... And I used to play Goalie :)

We had 10 game seasons when I played ... One year I lead the season in penalty minutes :) ... Don't come in my crease !!!

I had two masks... Not those fancy catchers masks like you painted... One was plane Jane white... The other was skull on the bottom with USA/CSA flags crossed on top ... When I stopped playing I gave my stuff to my lil brother ... The white one I painted as JD from Rangers ... Don't know what happened to my mask... I'll need to ask

Looks great Dean.

Clearly a real talent there. Tried a paint by number as a kid and it showed I better go another direction. After years I finally good pretty good with a spray gun but only of everything else is taped off. But what you do is a art way above any talent I have.

It also never fails to amaze me how Johnny not only knows something just about every subject but has information stored about it.

 to you both.

My life has changed over the summer. I retired back in June. My wife has been telling to do so for a while. Finally took her advise. Also traded in the 100 series for a Sequoia. After the transmission failure winter of 2011/2012 on a lonely stretch of highway at night while it was snowing and rolling our Tundra on black ice in 04 my wife has been concerned about safety and trusting the vehicle we travel in. Besides the improved regular safety features it has side air bags and air curtains. The 5.7 compared to the 4.7 is night and day. It climbs hills without even thinking about it. We do a lot mountain driving and towing which probably shortened the life of the transmission in the 100 series.

We also adopted a new pup. Looked online like he could be the litter mate to one we found on the side of the road three years ago. Around the same time the AZ Chihuahua Rescue saved him off the E list at the pound. He has been waiting that long for a new home. At least he was in someone's home and not a kennel. Seems black dogs are harder to find homes for. Funny because our best pets both cats and dogs have been mainly black. Ozzy the dog we have had for three years is the shorter one on the left. Murphy is the taller one on the right. While they don't look quite like twins they both have the same sweet personality with the same little bit of demon. Couple of fun interesting pups to have around. Besides these two we have a few others:rolleyes: Another reason for the larger vehicle.

Congrats on your retirement John!!! That is awesome :cheers::cheers:

Love the new truck...and really like that color! Must be interesting to take an early cruiser for a spin, and then get in the Sequoia! :D

Also love the new pup...remarkable how much he looks like his new brother...glad they now have each other, and a great home to live in!!

Oh, and thanks a lot guys...I really appreciate all the kind words! :)

I haven't airbrushed in years...like 20 years or so...at least nothing fun like this, just touch ups here and there. It was lot of fun to get into it again. My wife just can't stop asking me why I ever stopped...wish I knew why I stopped, but good to be having fun again :)

Cool pics Johnny...brings back memories of seeing Guy streaking down the boards with his hair flowing in the wind behind him, and taking his infamous shots on net...great now I feel older thinking about just how far back that actually was... :D

Jim, here are a couple more pics showing the top front shot, and a side shot...other side is identical. I like your idea of doing something to the cruiser, I may just do that until I give it a proper paint job down the line...it would also make it easier to hide some quick body work under some new "patina", and not need to make it perfect for now
