Jim flexing up the 25.

What are those funny things on their heads? If you walked into a bank around here right now I'm sure you would be watched as a possible bank robber. Ski mask just waiting to be pulled down. Last time I was up north it was still in the eighties during the day. It should be cooler up north this weekend. I might even get a chance to wear one myself.

We really need a FG thread in the 25 forum. Really cool to see two FJ25s sporting OEM style tops. Hey jump what is with the pictures Mike posted up of you looking under your FJ25? Break something?

We also need a trip report of the trip up and back. No trailered 25s this year:steer:

One of these years I needto try and make it out to FG. But it looks like I need to bring my own 25. Jim's looks pretty full.

Here's a link to my Fall Gathering photo album.. you can just skip thru all the fj40's and there is some nice 25 pics at the end! :p

I wanna thank Mike Fox and Jim for taking me on a little journey back in time.. it was an epic run to end the weekend!

Mike u don't think u bent the shackle when u had to get pulled off that stump maybe? it was hung right on it.:meh:

 Stump what are you doing driving on stumps.

What is with driving over all these rocks? You would think as many times as this trail have been used you could clear those rocks off by now. Maybe get some gravel to to file in the holes:rolleyes:

Do we see a potential future 25 owner :hillbilly: ...thanks for the link!

U-Haul? Never again. I can say I made it home with no event ..... beating the odds.

I will be definitely driving up again and I've still got this slick trailer to be converted to 25 style. ;) Driving up in a caravan with Mike and Jason really made the trip for me this time though.

While searching for the 61 PTO service bulletin that Jim linked in a thread in the 40/55 forum I came across this one. Do you think I can take my early 61 and get a new transmission and transfer case:hmm:

Our 4Runner didn't fair to well. Probably between thirty and forty small dents from hail while driving home last night. We did see a lot of vehicles that had broken glass. My wife was pretty scared. The home in Peoria was fine. Our old home in Phoenix had a lot more rain in the area. We are going by after work tonight to check it out. The pool is empty in the back yard, so I brought along a pump to pump it out. Found out the highway to the cabin is closed because of trees down across the road. Going up this weekend to check on it. All the cruisers there are stored out of the weather so no worries about them.

Update. The Phoenix house has had some damage. Front of the house driveway and yard filled with leaves and branches. Open up the door only to find broken glass all over the living room. The roof is shot. Hail really did a job on it. I used the pump for about a hour and made a little headway going it drained. It was completely dry before the storm. The plastic spacers in the expansion joints in the cool-deck and skimmer cover covers are all crack from hail. The skimmer covers are strong enough to wall on but the hail blew holes thru them. A car dealership about a half mile away had well over a hundred cars damaged from the storm. On the news last night is showed side mirror housings cracked. That hail must had really been hitting hard.

We get three to four tornados in AZ a year. Yesterday we got four in Northern Arizona. Two hit Bellemont which is a little west of Flagstaff on I-40. Lots of property damage there. Watching the news last night it showed where there all hit. Turns out the trees down on the State route 87 that closed it just south of the cabin was where the first one hit.

So taking tomorrow off to clean up the old house than maybe get of north on Saturday to see what going on up there.

Then if that wasn't enough we picked up a lost puppy on way to the old house along Grand ave which is the highway heading up to Kingman. Now trying to figure out if we can find it's owners. Nobody got hurt so all is good.
