I missed the request by Cruiser Nerd on the MC photo It's a 1984 w/70 k. I trailer-ed it from PA to Ft Hood TX. It was in the parking lot when she got back from her third deployment.
Why does every one have the same toys (or relics) I have an old un- running Simplicity also.
Does any one else have a Caterpillar D9 cable lift Bulldozer?

Very cool!!!

...what does she do?

As a Capt she is a commander for a Cav. support company, when she gets promoted to Major this year she move to a brigade staff position before her deployment in early 2011

Well folks, I pretty much checked out of here for a while, hopefully no one got offended. ;p If I owe you something or a response on anything, PM me. ;)

I've been crazy busy at work, which is much better than the alternative. Also we now have #1 daughter and a three month old granddaughter in the house, which is pretty neat too.

I stole an afternoon and put in my father's 1959 Old Town he's been working on (and you think my projects move slow). Leaking at a fair rate, sailing in a dead calm with his granddaughter.........priceless. ;)

I so here you, Jim...I have been busy too, seem to get paid less but...anyway. When I get a week off every now and then I just want to watch trees grow and do only required maintenance. Check in every now and then and tell us a story.

Boomerangs...

Very, very cool Jim!!!

Oh. and about that 25 shroud...Mike might soon have an extra one...at least I would end up having something off that 25...and on my '64 to boot :hillbilly:

I feel like about the same but not from too much time at work. But from trying to get my old house fixed up and sold. It doesn't pay less it doesn't pay at all.:frown: I had hoped by now to have my garage floor sealed at the cabin and four or five cruisers stored away. Well I've only got 2/3 of the floor done and no cruisers. I can't wait for that house to be done and sold then I can get back to my normally over loaded schedule:bang:

going to dewitt ny tomorrow am ....a 3 hr drive for a picknick with friends...fun fun

then sunday we go on a 4 hr drive to allentown pa for my aunts funeral...not going to be fun :frown:...she went really quick...she was a great lady

get any good presents mike?

Got the 25 registered yesterday. $12.50 for antique plates. WOO HOO!! I installed a set of FJ40 long jump seats in the back so I can finally take passengers for a ride. So today I put about 20 miles on her and I think I lost 1/2 the gear oil in the front axle out of the knuckles. I even took it to a car show for an hour. 2 steps forward, one step back. Time to pull the front knuckles apart and see how to stop the leaks.

Plates look like a regular Rhode Island plate but say antique and have a shadow image of a model a looking vehicle. Its better than Connecticuts plate that said "Early American" on it. When the DMV lady handed me the CT plates, I handed them back and said, can I get Early Japanese plates? She didnt find it funny.

Nice work Mike - what do the plates look like?

FJ25 back home

Well after a few years I took the first step to getting my white FJ25 back on road. Some of you might remember how the back of my cabin looked. A parking lot with all the vehicles under camo tarps. It became just to much of a pain to keep them running. Then everytime I worked on them I ended up spenting half my time trying to find small parts I dropped in the pine needles. So we bought another home in the valley with a second garage and RV parking. Well I have to crawl over cruisers to get from the front to the back. Any concrete area in the RV area has cruisers stored on it. Then the only time I can find some free time we were up north.

This last weekend I brought the first one back home. This will go back closer to stock. The original FJ25 wheesl and early hub caps are inside the 25. Rear sill has already been located and will be replaced. While this truck looks clean is has had hard early life on a ranch in Southern Arizona. I might even start a thread of the process.
