huh. So.... the larger, heavier truck with the larger motor won in the pulling contest?
That seems pretty predictable.

Wonder if the fjcruiser was manual or auto- seems like he was spinning tires pretty fast vs. the 100 who was pulling, slooowly ahead

probably not
but I'd sure rather have a Cruiser in the middle of nowhere than said Ram.

Now, if all I was doing was hauling gravel or cordwood.... the dodge would get the nod

I'd still go with the LC and get a utility trailer, oh wait thats exactly what I did.

well....
if *all* I was doing was hauling crap around, I'd really prefer a big old pickup
trailers are a great addition to an all-around vehicle, but pickups are just so much easier to park, easier to reverse, and handle better

seeing as how I've got the option- down here I would buy an 70-series pickup and be done with it, if that suited my purpose. but in the States.... a dodge/chevy/ford would probably be a good idea. I'm sure someone will chime in with how the three aren't the same. Ok. I'm sure one is better, don't care, not in the market.

i have seen a couple other post mostly ford vs chevy etc but these things have no real world application they should try to pull out a tree stump or something; i can only see damage one or both trucks just odd i thought any way thanks for sharin

A friend of mine hooked up a 100 to a Dodge 1/2 ton on pavement...neither vehicle moved. He DID say that if it was a HD, the dodge would've yanked the 100 all over the parking lot.

He's tried this with several vehicles.

as someone who has owned many a dodge diesels I can tell you the HD cummins 4x4s will absolutely destroy a 100 in a tow off - in fact I would put any 2 or 3 100s against a cummins dodge, traction will become the mitigating factor but if you've never driven or owned a diesel work truck you have absolutely no clue how absurdly powerful they are.

that being said, I own a 100 as I no longer require the services of a work truck, and I'd take the 100 lots of places a 2500HD would get stuck, or just simply couldn't pass....
