Here is a drawing for anyone that needs there automatic shifter bushings replaced. Just whipped it up this morning along with 4 bushings out of this 'Super' plastic we make wear items out of at work, made a world of difference vs. not having any bushing :p

So the big question is are you going to sell any of these bushings?

This is great, thanks for taking the time to draw up a spec!
No problem! It seems to be a silly easy part no one really talks about. Well at least in 30 seconds of searching.

If there was interest I could make a small run of them, would have to see how much interest first.

Im a bit new to the FJ world but what will this bushing do for the shifter?

On most 62s these bushings have worn out over time. The shifter becomes very loose, sloppy when the bushings wear out. New bushings will tighten the shifter back up like new.

It will probably be around $10 shipped for two of them. This will be a service to you guys as I don't want to make any money, nor spend the money to get a colored star or whatever. Let me get a couple ran and I'll report back.

Cool that @ThreeEyedBandit is willing to help out, but there's nothing wrong with the available replacement parts from vendors, either. Heck, even the typically-absurdly-overpriced SOR only wants $2.38 each for them.

Of course, if a fellow MUD member is looking to use his/her skills to provide a superior product and make some side cash then I'm in total support. Just not sure what the intent is here.

I was looking to help you guys out if you need, I've gotten a lot of info from here and like to contribute when I can. I didn't realize that these where commonly available and that inexpensive, I just went ahead and made two pairs as it was easier than looking on the internet. At that price I wouldn't be able to break even with just buying the material and the little bit of my time.:beer::beer:

I once had a local toyota wizard named Kief make me a quick bushing by hand out of a 2" piece of garden hose.:hmm: Cut and shaved with a pocket knife while I was having some other work done on my tranny. It fit perfect and is still quite snug!

Im still in for it if you decide to. I have a feeling yours is made from better material

Holy crap! I almost made these for a friend and was gonna throw it on the site until I saw the SOR link. Saved us the effort :P
