I need to remove the instrument cluster to lube the speedometer cable; how to?

You want someone to give you a step-by-step? Have you tried having a go at it? It's not difficult. In fact in the factory service manual, it's a single step.

I deserved your comment. I usually have a go at it but am currently Very short on time and the sound of the chickens behind the dash is driving me nuts. 🤷‍♂️ Just saying that your point is well taken. Jt
 
Can't you pull the speedometer cable from the housing from below at the transmission?

Don’t know 🤷‍♂️ I had another’90 fj62 prior to this one and I replaced the entire cable because it snapped off at the speedometer. I’m trying to prevent that from happening again. That and quiet the chickens.
