WOW! That thing's nice. I'm tempted. Anyone want a lifted WJ? I still love the Jeep except when I put gas in it and I've got a lot of time/money invested(I'm not sure if anyone here can relate), but the price is pretty sweet and it looks good.

I can relate. I too sold my JGC for a Land Cruiser.

Unless you can afford both. Don't buy it. I wish I would have never sold mine. Chuck wrecked it and now it's gone. Plus we need at least one token Jeeper in the club. Y'all are getting rare. I thought Benke would be the holdout. But even he saw the light.:D

A 90 with 171,000 miles and relatively clean for $2600 buy it now? That is an excellent price and it looks like it may have new springs on it. Hmmm . . . Someone in this club needs to buy this one . . . Or the club should buy it, fix it up, and raffle it off for Tellico!!!!

HAILING FREQUENCY OPENED FOR INDIAN DOC!!!!

WOW! I must say, I am disappointed in all of you. I expected this thread to have about 3 new pages of posts by now cheering me on to buy it and the only post responding to me is telling me to keep the Jeep. I appreciate it fellas. I had no idea dbenke switched over. I guess that just leaves me then, so no cruiser til post-Clemson (unless one falls in my lap). Glad to represent. It's a nice truck though and I do agree w/ Mr. Davis. I think that's an awesome idea for Tellico

You are showing great restraint and good judgment. (You will need this as your generation will be paying off the 11 trillion dollar debt rung up by our generation. Thanks!)

If you bought the 62 now, even at a good price, there would be an ARB, a SROR or 2, and some larger tires, in your immediate future . . . 3k at least for those goodies.

Get done with Clem and his Son, then start hoarding the thundering herd. The jeep is reliable college transport till then.

The trick to this cruiser addiction is to always have a vehicle you would feel safe putting your family (or dog) in , AND a couple (or more) old cruisers, but only if you can still buy groceries.

Dont be fooled David still has the cj and he put the 37" pitbulls on it that he won at GSMTR. The 62 will see light wheeling (cullowee and maybe trail 5 or 6 at Tellico ) but the main Crawler is still the 7.

Yeah, I'm not selling the Jeep.('84 CJ7) I just thought I would like a ride that I could take wheeling some time w/out a trailer.
I will be selling the '77 cj7 though (as soon as I finish the trans) if anyone is interested
Carl, keep the JEEP, and buy you a cruiser when you can afford it.
With the gas prices, 60's and 62's have come way down in price

Well unless David get's ancy for his 62 back I think I'm ok for a while but it is tempting good price and it looks good too! Besides his serious wheeling is still in the Jeep at least for the imediate time. :D

I agree that it would likley make a good raffle item for Gsmtr as well not a bad idea at all:idea:

Thanks David. I do appreciate the kind words. I'm in no position to be looking to buy; lusting maybe, but I'll do that for the rest of my life and I have since middle school. The Jeep truly does treat me well and she's dependable. She's enough of a project truck for me so I can always piddle and she's never once let me down. I truly have lusted over cruisers since middle school and I'll have one eventually, but I'm picky enough that I wont have one till after college so I can find my cherry vehicle w/ everything I want. And David, you're SO RIGHT about buying the truck, then lift, then tires, then bumpers, then sliders, then, then,........ Have a good one All and happy wheelin'. For now, I'll be "that guy" back there in the Jeep, but I'll be keepin up though!
