My 3rd project fj-45 ,really big compare to the other the first was a Toyota p-u 1983 long bed second was a toyota p-u 1990.This one take me monts to get all the parts, in Quebec we don't have many Landcruiser left so for the parts........ First i found a Toyota Stout 1965 and that the beginning. After runing all across Quebec i found fj-45 1965 or something. In a barn near my home. After trying to cleaning it only the crowl and the hood was good no rust ( the only part) we got so mutch salt in the winter , the car are only made of rust ,no more good locking car .;. And for the frame and mecanic i found another fj-40. The first pic is the Stout.​

Sand balst the hood, surprise ! Realy good under all the paint and plastic.

Cut the frame i have to stretch the frame 3' to fit the box.

The rear end with the dog (he came with the fj, we was under the hood for about 100 years) good looking dog... hean !?!

Fitting the box.

I've put the bed in place to mesure ,where the diff. are going to be with the rest of the frame.
If you look very close , you will see that my garage is a bit small.I know that a lot of people make this (Quebec) in a tempo or a car poll. But my 20' x 20' is too small. 2 tool box, 2 frigidair, 1 1/2 car , welding machine, and my radio ( you need to have one with good music, kind of heavy metal that help a lot to pass long hours in the garage) and a lot of beer.

Once the cab was in place , i have to try to fit all the part before sending it to the paint shop. A big puzzle too many fj and too many years.Again not a bolt on.

I was so shook to see that my bed was too wide 1 1/2' .Not on the both side only on the side of the pic. BEaUrK !!!! .And the side is too round eventually i will make the side like it suppose to be: flat ,and cut the box in half and reduce it .Yes it mabe look wider than 1 1/2' but not !

Now my 1/2 door ,front fender,hood side pannel,front grill,and tub are in the paint shop. Lot of work to even if they suppose to be like new (i meen flat , no bump).And tonight i will sand blast the rear top windshild.

Sorry for the poor english now it's not the fault of my french but i've got too much beer. so.... if you like it (the project) good ,if you don't say it too, a good criticalis always accept. a drunk men from Quebec.

Great project man, guess you answered the age old question of whether a LWB and Stout bed were the same. Gotta love the ingenuity though!

Hi guys i need help with my box,bed, post pic of yours fj-45 (p-u only) . Cuz mine, as you see is a stout box and did not fit well, so i need your help to design it like it suppose to be (lot of work but.....)

Since i saw the fj-45 of Rubb Rutledge in the top truck WoW! I buy the d.v.d cuz the Unimog in the top truck came from Quebec, that Stephane Bélanger and i saw the ,i meen THE fj-45, since then i work on this project ... I wish it end up like his fj...

By the way i saw Stephane today at the O.R.A. Rock Craling in Rigaud, a big event there was Bud or Bill or something .From pirate4x4 he work on the forum, lot of truck but like always no fj .Only one Toyota p-u with rust and rust and rust and the frame .......... rust .Too bad but if you don't spray oil on your Rig it (more Toy then anyting) Will end up like dust.

This week it will be, Sand blast :Top,rear window,front rectangle,windshild and trying to add inch at the end of the frame to fit the bed as well. Tanx for your support even if i do some error in english .

Now back on the track with the fj. Got all the aluminium prime and the frame is ready for the paint he only need the middle stand .And too bad all the part that i need the dealer don't got it (no more i canada) you from U.s.A. got more then here. So now the pic . The frame from the fj-40 got longer now is a fj-45 frame.
