3 of mine are pretty roached. Sanding looks like a pita. With the paint bubbled a scuff and spray won’t work. We’ve got a little blast cabinet at work I’m going to try.

Blasted. Painting today. I didn’t do the good one. Figured I’ll just paint the emblem black by hand on all of them.

Finished them!
Top left is stock. I wanted to see how the silver I sprayed would look to the stock. It was the only one that was decent so plan was I could just scuff it if I decided to paint it. Where as the rest it was a ton easier to blast umm.

I used rustoleum bright coat aluminum. I had the red for a iron man scheme I was doing on a garage emblem so I decided to go red. Man it’s been a long freakin time since I painted with model paints! Lol That has gotten really hard to do.

Looks and matches great 👍🏻 Million times better then the roached out hurting look they had before.

I may try that. I just sprayed the hubs black and left the caps off last snow tire and wheel swap.

At 285k it’s not a DD anymore but it easily could be.

Nice work!

You can use paint pens (the kind some graffiti losers use) to paint the center sections. Hobby stores may sell the paint pens, along with places like Grainger, etc.

Thanks!
Definitely checking those out. Tips will have to be finer then the ones I’ve used in the past though for sure.

This looks great. I know it's been a few years, so how is the paint holding up? Should I use a 2k clear on top of it?

The red flaked a little bit but other then that they look good.
