It might be a good idea for the OP to go back and edit the title of the thread to include the problem to make searching easier for the next unfortunate soul.

:cool:

Good work. Now put the cover back on, LOTS of silicone, and don't pull those screws out again. :lol:

If you need to get the plug out again, there is a small metal clip that goes around it. Pull that off, the plug will come right out.

I should have lock tited the SOB's in. Could not find 1 freakin tube of Silicone in tis house that hasn't dried up in the tube. Cover is on tite and I will pick up some automotive grade silicone tomorrrow as I need a can of PB blaster so I can tackle the O2 sensors next. Thanks again.

I'm still going to look for a used AFM just to have incase the solder goes.

fiberboy;
Glad you got it running.

You might also check out this link for your AFM spare; he seems to have a lot of cruisers to part out.

Or, keep your eye on the parts section of IH8MUD, always someone parting out LC's.

Holy S**t it worked. Its running better than ever. Thank you to Jon and ika1988 without you 2 I would have probably had it towed to the dealer. I owe you both a bunch. Thanks Again :cheers::beer::beer:

You broke it AND you fixed it. How good is that? Take the money saved on a replacement AFM and get a FSM and a EWD for your truck.

Good on you!

I must say I did the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. I did some searching and soldered the wire back on..

Thank you both as well.:beer:

Jon, how do I get my hands on a FSM? Been putting off getting one but after this little fiasco I think its time I just do it.

I'm not Jon, but they regularly pop-up on eBay. I picked mine up a few weeks ago for around $60 in mint condition. :cool:
