I have been working on doing a power steering upgrade on my fj using the box from an '83 4x4 pu. My issue is I cant find a low pressure return line and dont know what size or thread I need to have one made. Do you? I was told they were M17-1.25, but wanted to get some input before running with that size.

is it safe to assume that there is no fitting at all in the box? most just use regular 3/8 id return line with some hose clamps but i guess you need the hole thing?

sorry no real info... but i think your right with the m17

use PARKER 206-6 or 611-6 hose with pushlok fittings, don't know what fitting thread type without seeing a photo.

you could even use garden hose it is good to 80psi wont last long

It dosent look like a metric, I'd say SAE inverted flare, cant be sure. With that fitting you could apply a little heat and bend it (being low pressure) and just use the 611 hose prob a couple of bucks per meter dont know the US price. On the cheap you could get away with using heater hose (at your own risk).
