First trip to Uwarrie looking for company

Hi. I am local to Greensboro and am planning on heading to Uwharrie Saturday. This will be my first trip and would love to have some others to ride with. I am going in a stock LX470 so will not be doing any of the rock crawling trails. Just mild trail riding with the family.
If not this weekend, I look forward to meeting some of you eventually. Cheer.

I'm guessing there will be plenty of other folks out there this weekend so you shouldn't be alone. They might not be in LC's, though. Make sure to stop at Eldorado Outpost or Uwharrie Sportsman to get your daily trail pass ($5) and map. You can also look for the UWHARRIE MAP sticky at the top of the ONSC page or our website - it's the same as you'll get at the forest. I'd still ask for one when you get your pass since they're free and large.

I think that you'll want to stay off Dickey Bell and Dutch John if you're stock and don't want any damage. Daniel is definitely out of the question. Kodak Loop is temporarily closed. There may be sections of DB and DJ you can easily handle but I can't guide you there and they both have some nasty sections.

Take a few garbage bags and see how much trailside trash you can collect. I think that's gonna be the new game we all play.

I just checked the thread in your sig. Nice looking truck. I like white. When are we lifting it?

We've got a small but active number of members in the GSO area. Lots in RDU. I'm sure some of them will post up to welcome you and invite you to a monthly meeting. Lots of good people and families in this group with varying levels of gearheadedness. Wow, that word threw my spell checker for a loop.

EDIT: I do not mean to imply that a stock rig cannot complete any of the trails I listed. I think we've all seen it done.

There are two other modded 100s in the area but I cant seem to catch up with them.

I am not going to be able to make it this weekend but we will have another small group run from the GSO area shortly I feel...........how is your weekday schedule?

Will be at a wedding this Saturday but would much rather be wheelin. There is also a workday going on up there also Saturday so be mindful of them please. And yes the trails will be crowded this weekend. Wolfden is our trail so if you get a chance and can pick up some garbage on it i would be very grateful.

Ryan and I will be there Saturday morning to hit some hard trails. We'll be at Eldorado outpost before 8am. After Daniel trail we might hit a little easier stuff.

I am seriously thinking of taking off work this week to join John Vee, if work permits. You guys have fun and try to take some pics!
