Hey All,
Picked this gem up about 3 weeks ago here in Denver. 2001 100, 105k on the clock. First thing had the timing belt/water pump done along with spark plugs and a tune. Truck was from AZ so no rust to speak of, interior is super clean. Craigslisted the running boards immediately. Hope to turn her into a decent little Overland machine.

Here is a pic on the road to the Capitol Lake TH. Made it about half way up Pearl Pass from the aspen side before coming to my senses with 2 Ply tires.

any more details on pearl pass, location, difficulty, etc. . .? I am an east coaster, but may be in that area. Great looking ride, by the way!

Congrats. Another Denver Metro 100. There is a large Land Cruiser community here

Seems like a lot of new 100 owners have been joining the forum lately. Congrats on the purchase! Do you have the grey interior? It seems that everyone I know who has a blue one, also has the grey leather. I wish I had the grey in mine.

Btw, if you don't like to gold emblems, there is a thread near the top that discusses painting or PlastiDiping them.

Welcome to Mud!

First question - now when are you going to change those tires?

:whoops:

Welcome to mud fellow Co hundy owner. Several joining lately, good to see, great place to share info if you get past the "opinion" threads

Thanks all.

I may not be the best to speak on Pearl Pass but like I said I made it about half way up and never touched anything other than rubber to the ground. Then I met a Jeep on his way down and had to back down a ways. I asked him if I was nuts trying the pass with this truck and he said the only issue would be the tires as most of the trail is sharp rock scree above timberline.

I had the 90k service done at ToyAuto Masters on South Broadway. I had timing belt, water pump, spark plugs and a full computer tune done for $1200 out the door.

Thanks for the heads up on the emblems. That was last weekends project, pulled them all off and sprayed with duplicolor, so they match the bumpers, doesn't look half bad. Other than that I have done the head unit with an amp bypass and the front speakers. Both my shift knob cover and steering wheel cover where shot so I went down to a leather shop and bought leather, took the old parts off to make a pattern and sewed up new covers, turned out pretty good. Still need to do diff and t-case fluid changes and would like to have some Amsoil syn running in the tranny.

I hope to have new tires done this spring. The current ones have a good bit of tread left.

welcome, good looking rig, love the color.

gl on your future mods

Congrats and Welcome. Blue was a top choice of mine, but couldn't find a decent one when I was looking for one.

Welcome, If you ever make it over to Western Colorado, look me up.
