Rear bumper looks nice with lots of clearance. I could not tell what the thickness of the side bars are made of on the bumper. It seem that you would want it to return back into the frame for support. If you were to come down on the side bar of the bumper I would question if it could support the weight of the Cruiser. But all in all I think you are on to something nice.

Thanks Phil

Yes, we are in the process right now of tying the side bars of the bumper as well as the reciever into the frame, i will post pics of that as well. Both will be tied into the frame and bullet proof!!
The side bars are made of 2"x2" stock and 1.25 DOM Tube

mangler,

cool looking mods...will be curious to see how things progress.

wish i had the funds and time : ( to do some of the same stuff your doing.

good luck with all of it!

M.angler it all looks good. How did you trim your quarters? Did you just cut them and leave it or did you tuck and seal off that area. I'm looking to do something similar but can'y find anyone with the experties to do it

haha i hope he dint cut it and leave it..i cut mine the one day and had to make a trip to a friends house before i could weld em shut. well on the trip over the ocean came up over the road due to the bad weather (good if your a surfer) and i had to drive thru it to get past...welll the whole ass end of my truck was covered in salt water...not cool. i think i blinked maybe twice and i could see surface rust on the cut section..

BM the sliders and rear look nice man...ill be heading down that road sooner or later..

I used a 4in grinder with a metal cut off wheel

I just left them open and then ground them down to bare metal, etched them with POR metal ready and then painted them with POR 15. That should hold off the rust for awhile
