Finding the car alarm... (1 Viewer)

I am trying to find where my car alarm would be located in my 1997 LC. It is a Code Alarm so my guess is it could be anywhere. I just wasn't sure if there was a 'normal' place that most installers would put it.

Usually in the dash under the steering column or around there because if they are going to splice into the power locks the driver's door has all those wires. So the harness going there comes out through the footwell and is accessible from there. More thorough jobs will remove the dash or a few of the panels and tap into the harness higher up and out of sight. This is all of the top of my head though because my fzj still has no alarm.
