Picked up the OME J spring kit from Cruiser Outfitters last night and went to work! Pics of the end result, well, almost. Thanks Kurt!

Aussie locker going in tomorrow and we'll be ready for Cruise Moab. BTW, installing the lift really isn't hard. Just take your time and plan for about half a day if it's your first time. Oh yeah, no grrrrr noises either!:)

Time for sliders so just to step up to that now. Looks nice!

Another thing, if you're wanting to compare stock height to J spring height on a 315 size tire, look at the tire FAQ and I have a couple shots of the 315's at stock height.

What was included in the J spring kit?

Yeah, I did the work in the garage. And it clears by about 1 cm, no exaggeration. Gotta get rid of the lame roof rack anyways. The lift should settle an 1/8" or so.

Four OME J springs, four extended OME shocks, steering dampener, and caster correction bushings.

OK. Thanks. I got a set of J spirngs that I got from a friend of mine and ordered the rest of the parts from Christo including drop blocks and brackets for the stabilizers. Nice looking rig. ;)

Cool Elijah!

Absolutely tuff, Elijah !

:grinpimp:

looks sweet...look forward to seeing you at CM06

nice look rig ! Let me know how the aussie locker works. why did you pick that one ?

If you're asking why I picked the J lift, it's because eventually this rig will end up being armored and weighted down. If you're asking why I picked the Aussie Locker, it's because I've heard better things over the Lock-Right reliabilty wise. It's all about the reliability, that's why we drive Land Cruisers:)

Any observations, suggestions, pics, from the Aussie install. Mine has been on the shelf for a year, I just havn't nutted-up to open things up.

I just followed the destructions, took my sweet time, and did it in less than 4hrs.
I got new gaskets fron cdan and used some rtv with the gaskets. I put cheap, heavy weight gear oil in for about 1 month, then drained it and put in some Valvoline Durablend heavy gear oil, 140w75 I think. Easy install. I didn't take any pics, my hands were dirty.

X2 with Baggins. Yeah I also took my sweet time, and I think it was about 3-4 hours. On another note just got finished with the caster correction bushings being installed, and even though the caster isn't fully corrected with this size of lift, the bushings made a HUGE difference. Not darty going into a turn anymore and tracks straighter on the road.

So who did you end up finding to press the bushings? I'de like to know so I can refer others down your way. Thanks again!
