Fireguy,
That looks great! Excellent job,. I love the 2 tone white/tan. Did you buy the clear Al's Liner and add paint tint?

Hhhhhhhmmmmm not sure. I just ordered the kit and specified I wanted their standard tan color. I also used two cups of flattener per gallon.

I used the flattener as well but it still has quite a bit of sheen to it. I am sure over time it will dull out, although my rig lives in the garage and is only a weekend warrior. I don't mind it though.

Mine has a good bit of shine too. I think it would be far too shiny without any flattener. Everyone who sees it in person says it looks great though.

Anyone know what to ask for specifically when adding paint to color match? I went to NAPA and asked for pricing on tint base as per the Al's website and the guy had no idea what I was talking about? Is it just regular paint added to the Al's mix to color, or something different?
Thanks!

Here are a couple more pics. I went back and rolled on a second coat. I prefer rolling better. Much less stressful and it is easier to just mix up a quart at a time. The combo of spraying first and rolling a second coat worked out great. I have good texture and it looks great.

Al's liner is a awesome product and is very easy to use if you take your time.

I am on the fence between Als and monsta liner mainly due to working time of the liners. So about how long of a time period do you have when rolling it before it is setup, is their website info of about 20 minutes accurate for rolling too?

I kind of like the tan/white combo.

I kind of like the tan/white combo.

I used Monstalineron the floor of my 4runner and I mixed the whole can at one time.

After rolling on the first coat and waiting about 3 hours the remaining liner was still wet enough to roll on the second coat.

By the time I was finishing the second coat it was starting to get too thick to roll it though, but that must have been about 5 or so hours after mixing... it is very dry here in Wyoming though.

Happy with how it applied, no real durability info yet

Looks real nice! I'm going to do my roof and the inside floor on my rig in the future.

I noticed on Al's website they have a sound damping liner you can put down first then the normal liner. Was thinking that would be best for the inside floor.

I'd plan for 15 usable minutes. You will be able to tell when the time is up, it starts to roll on a little thick. It is super easy to mix up smaller batches. Just go to Home Depot and get a couple mixing containers with the ounces marked on the side and mix up a quart at a time.

Everyone who sees it up close loves it. I was quoted $700 for black and $1,000 for color from the local Line-X place. I'm into this around $250 for two gallons of Al's liner and materials. Also, I wasted a whole gallon spraying the first coat as I thought it would take way more paint to do it. For what I did, I only needed max a 1/2 gallon for spraying. On the second coat which I rolled I only used a quart.

Thanks for the info, looks like 2 gallons would do my planned work then. Same fender/door areas, and the roof.

Anyone done a custom color with Al's?
Wondering what to get to color it? Asked at the local NAPA for a tiny base colored and got a big ?
