I just had it converted a couple days ago. They didn't find any leaks, so it only cost me $130! Im still not sure why I waited half the summer to take it in?

I converted it to R-134a... They removed the R-12. All was legit.Where did you ever get your hands on R12? R12 was banned internationally years ago. I have to think you wasted your money installing a R12 system, rather a system running R213A which is legal to install. Second, dont get caught working on, servicing your AC, fine is substantial. I have my CFC/HFC dispertion and purchacing ticket. Could easily convert my 60 but like my OBA.

I know this over a year old. So i apologize in advance. Spiva how much did it run you to convert it over? I've seen the o-ring kit online with the fittings but if the shop will do it all, why bother. Thanks.I converted it to R-134a... They removed the R-12. All was legit.
It was $130 at a shop near me (just outside Sacramento). It does well most of the time, but if we're above 100 degrees and I've parked in the sun, it can't quite keep up.I know this over a year old.
