Dave now is the time to renew the YT memberships correct? We have started to have the membership year start af the Fall Gathering. Correct?
This is another "geez, I'm not sure if I'm signing up to run a trail that is going to eat my truck alive" question. Sorry to bug you, but it's better to bug you now than have you winch me through the trees later.
On my 1997 LX450, I've got:
Front/Rear Lockers
33s
2.5" lift
Stock bumpers
Dealer trailer hitch
I do not, however, have sliders or any sort of armor.
I'll take any advice you can offer, but I'll pose a specific question:
I know there is always the chance of body damage, but will there be a significant chance of rocker damage (with no sliders) on "Intermediate-to-Stock (Swanzey)" or "Intermediate (Carnage Hill)"?

While sliders would be real nice you should at least get a skid plate for the t-case regardless of which trails you run. I prefer the IPOR skid but Slee makes one that is less costly and works well. Both are bolt on.
I haven't been on the trails yet so I'll let someone else comment on which ones would be good for you.
With a good spotter you can make it thru Carnage.
The Intermediate to stock/plus has some very high ledges to climb. There are some by-passes.

Well it's always best to wheel with sliders. But you could get away without. I've seen people do it. You should be ok with great spotters I would think. Don't be shocked if you get damage. There are many unpredictable things that can happen on the trail. I'll tell you one thing that trailer hitch will take a good beating. I've seen guys show up with them on and they seem to hit every rock on the trail. The factory skid plate should be fine. I've wheeled like four years with the factory skid. I never had any damage.

I'll be sending mine out today but I don't know what to put down for trails. I'm not sure if I'm leading the stockers or the moderates. I guess it doesn't matter for right now, you can adjust the number of people per run later when you get the full head count...right?

I've received a few emails about whether there is "still space" at FG. The answer is absolutely.
We came up with the 75 number based on a few criteria. First is that we have about that many members. Second, that is a little less then the number of trucks we had last year. Third is that, thanks to gas prices and the economic downturn, we expect a smaller number of attendees this year regardless of the cap. And fourth being that we feel that number allows us to put on the best event possible for everyone there.
So the summation is, though we have a cap, we really feel that it is a reasonable number to expect and that unless you are an epic procrastinator you should have no trouble getting into the event.
As of today there are only a dozen registrations on file. We are serious about no late registrations this year, so GET THOSE REGISTRATIONS IN!
