A atlas any chance you could fab a mount for a Superflow MV50 style air compressor? There's interest in one.

Thanks!

Shane,
I'd appreciate if you would return the FSM I lent you, or at least reply to my messages/emails...
Greg

I finally got a reply back from him yesterday. He said there was a problem with the thickness of the metal. I didn't get a definite timeframe of when to expect shipment, but I'm guessing a couple of more weeks.

My guess is he went too think first time around or picked an alloy that doesn't like to bend without breaking ;)

I recieved mine today. Very hefty gauge material. It could be used as a weapon.

Mine should arrive on Tuesday, shopping for sub's and amps now . What is everyone planning on running?

Got mine today. I purchased an Alpine SWR a couple months ago (before the mount was spawned) and was going to sell it and grab an Alpine shallow mount. I think I'm going to make a thick-ass spacer and see what the SWR sounds like before I sell it.

Nice to see this thread pop up again. I've got a Kicker 40CWS102 and a 3/4" MDF spacing ring waiting on the shelf. I'm using the amp she came with, an Alpine MRP-M200. It'll be a relatively mild system, but I'm going to be really happy to delete the box. Also curious about the accessory mount addition that's been mentioned.

Agreed, thats what I'm waiting on as well.
Will the sub and accessory mount be 1 piece?

I have the same sub, kicker 40CWS102 with a 3/4" MDF ring. For amps I went with an alpine mrv-M500 for the sub and an MRV-F300 for the door speakers.

I'll be getting cables front genuinedealz.com after I measure up exactly where I want the amps, blue seas bus bars, fuses and aux blue seas fuse panel located.

+1 huge project plan but all on hold waiting for this. Argh

It's one piece...I have mine sitting in the garage waiting on some time to get er done!

That's the sub mount. I'm talking about the much larger accessory mount that requires removing the useless cubby. We haven't seen what that is going to look like.

And I'm itching to get it wired up. My dual batt install is on hold for this. I would much rather do this all once at the same time.

Got my mount! Now I need pics from all you first wavers who've already installed their subs and amps in this beauty. I'm new to this audio sht so need all the visual help I can get...

Free-Air meaning the sub does not need a box to perform. It's designed to be mounted anyplace with a box or enclosure.

Shane

Not exactly. They need to be mounted on a baffle. I don't see how this mounting approach will work right.

Right, a ceiling speaker is a good example of a "free air" application. The woofer needs to be tight against the baffle. I have the same concerns and have been waiting to see peoples results.

Just got my mount today - heading to my local exprts to see what they suggest..... will be running it off the 5 channel under the seat on my Kenwood amp - 300 watts.... thinking JL Marine if it will fit.....like many I have mixed expectations on the depth of bass but frankly with the Rockford fosgate components in the front it's pretty solid as it is.... the 6 1/2 in the rear doors add a nice fill as well.

picked up a spare rear panel and already cut out the "box" and have a " marine inspection panel " i may use....

Anyone up and running yet with any insight ? AAtlas ( Shane ) what did you end up using ?

TIA
