Hey all,
Nothing has been decided for sure yet, but toying with the idea of selling the Hundy and upgrading. I’ve done a bit to the truck, and since overland/camping rigs are not run of the mill for most, not sure where to price this IF I decide to sell. I would more than likely keep the awning, maybe the fridge, not sure yet.
Here’s the details to the best of my recollection:
2001 100 Series
310k miles, but since about 190k, there’s been slightly larger than stock tires on it, so the mileage is over actual by about 10%
Dreaded T-hose, steering rack, driver from hub, shocks (Bilstiens) battery, and front seat foam & leather all replaced. Motor is good, power is normal for years/mileage, uses no oil, trans is solid, does not have front or rear lockers, just center diff. Now a few bad items. Seems to have a parasitic drain on the batteries, the secondary goes dead after a couple days and then begins to draw down the primary. Have not chased it yet.
Goodies:
Slee Off-road secondary battery tray/ARB compressor holder, with dual compressor from ARB. Lazer LED lightbars with DRL, hardwired into high beam switch 😎. Firestone air bag helper springs in rear coils. WeatherTech floor mats (a must!). Eeze-Awn K9 roof rack, with large camp table and brackets. All LED interior lights from PFran on here. Custom tailgate deck from TrekBoxx, awesome for camping or anything else. Custom cabinets built & installed by Adventure Trailers here in Prescott AZ, and Linex in tan to match interior, with USB & 12v outlets, and their custom fridge/stove combo slide (will hold up to 45 qt fridge) with Partner propane stove. Wheel spacers from Slee Off-road, made a noticeable difference in handling for the better.

Every Hundy owner with a visually nice rig should be trying to sell it on BaT. Bone stock stuff sells for a pretty penny, and kitted out rigs can sell for asinine amounts of money.

And some action shots from a recent trip to CO:

Sorry, I’m not familiar with BaT....

BaT=Bring a Trailer

Sorry if I'm mistaken. But I always thought with larger tires, the actual mileage that the truck has travelled is a bit more than what's read from the odometer. Am I wrong? (I googled this topic but got conflicting theories 😅

Yes, check out Bring a Trailer. Search completed auction prices for the Land Cruiser and LX470, then read the descriptions and look closely at the pictures. Your jaw may drop a bit at the lunacy.

I'd bet if you kept all the equipment on the Hundy, posted a ton of photos of your rig on a BaT auction, and gave a full accounting of upgrades with supporting pics, you could score $25K easy. No joke, especially in this escape-worthy climate.

I think you are right, and that may have been what the OP was trying to say.

I'll take two pies please, thanks.

Got it, thanks!
And on the tire question, the speedo reads (trust me, the nice officer verified this🤣) at a consistent 10% under actual speed, ie shows 60mph=traveling 66mph. So the math gurus in here can figure that issue out 😎

You are traveling further than your speedo and odo report. Your odo is under-reporting mileage covered.

Bigger diameter means more distance covered per wheel revolution.

Nice Cruiser. It’s the miles that the unknowing will question when reaching for the wallet. Those in the know, here -will laugh at 300+k and tell ya it’s just broken in. I’d say most will be cautious over 200k.
If I guess correctly I’d say somewhere around $15-16 Becouse with the side steps still on er, it’s obvious it’s been used.... yet slightly off the road Ways. Glws- hope you keep it for another 318,468.64159 miles. (Just a Guess)

Thanks! I have wanted to put sliders on it for a while, but...life. It has been off-roaded, but not hard, and never had anything break because of it. I’m not into getting towed home...🙂
