February Tech Day images
Many thanks again to the IPOR crew for hosting the February CLCC Tech Day. Here are some photos I made:
First, we mingled in the parking lot, checking one another's rigs. There were a couple of new guys--Parker with a LX470, and Fernando with his FJZ80.
Then Woody arrived with the TLCA Raffle Truck!
Shortly afterwards, we moved into the office and BS'd some more while Cam and Vince got parts and stuff squared-away. We had the opportunity to chat with Woody about his IH8MUD adventures and recent travels.
Once in the shop, Vince gave us the "how-to" on valve adjustments. Here, Vince listens to a member describing how he remembers the firing sequence of 1-5-3-6-2-4. We'll never forget now!
Once the valve cover was removed, and the #1 cylinder set at TDC, we each got to feel the gauge. (Note: this is not cylinder #1--I guess this photo was taken later in the process)
After making the correct adjustment, Sam tightens the lock nut while holding the adjustment screw steady.
Sam double-checks the adjustment. This is where he gained the new nick-name--"The Feeler".
