Breakfast at Cracker Barrel on Rt 234 & I-95?

Our Feb. tech day is set for the 19th and is being hosted by Iron Pig Off Road in Fredricksburg. ..., Tom

Anyone interested in meeting for breakfast at the Cracker Barrel on 234 just of I-95 on the way to IPOR for the Tech Day on Saturday?

I'll be there. The wife thinks that all we think of is food and crusiers.

Jon, I'm in for breakfast.

Yes, that's the one! We'll park out front so you can see us. The entrance is off a side road that connects to 234/Dumfries Rd. near an Italian restaurant just north of the underpass.

February Tech Day images

Many thanks again to the IPOR crew for hosting the February CLCC Tech Day. Here are some photos I made:

First, we mingled in the parking lot, checking one another's rigs. There were a couple of new guys--Parker with a LX470, and Fernando with his FJZ80.

Then Woody arrived with the TLCA Raffle Truck!

Shortly afterwards, we moved into the office and BS'd some more while Cam and Vince got parts and stuff squared-away. We had the opportunity to chat with Woody about his IH8MUD adventures and recent travels.

Once in the shop, Vince gave us the "how-to" on valve adjustments. Here, Vince listens to a member describing how he remembers the firing sequence of 1-5-3-6-2-4. We'll never forget now!

Once the valve cover was removed, and the #1 cylinder set at TDC, we each got to feel the gauge. (Note: this is not cylinder #1--I guess this photo was taken later in the process)

After making the correct adjustment, Sam tightens the lock nut while holding the adjustment screw steady.

Sam double-checks the adjustment. This is where he gained the new nick-name--"The Feeler".

Great meeting you guys, I think it's awesome the club gets together for this kinda stuff!

Got home at 3:30a (4:30a east coast) this morning...yep, straight shot. Slept in until 8am today...

woody, glad you made it home. Tom, Bart, and the whole gang, it was great meeting you all face to face. Wish I could make it to the ride next weekend, but I'm out of town, but I'll see you all at Kilroys worst case. Thanks to IPOR for hosting, Cam and Vince were generous with their time. and a big :flipoff2: to I-95 traffic coming home. Steve's (?) truck has the right plates...

Sorry I missed y'all this time around Burl needed some help doing some work on his house.
Different kind of Tech day Hanging an aluminum door 101.
see y'all in March.

Chris

Brother Burl needed help??? Say it ain't so. I thought Burl was the master of all things manly (well, almost all things manly).

He gets lazy when it comes to home repairs, theirs no grease or oil to play with.
You know he's not at 100% when he has to were a shirt!
A shirt is like kryptonite to Burl.
