ETA is looking like 1015 for me to be at the school

Don’t forget to fill up on ethanol free on the way in. Nice Valentine’s Day gift for Easter Bunny II this morning…

It wouldn't be a fun trip without a CEL!

Code is P0500, speed sensor. Cruise control went out. Looking into vehicle speed sensors...

Pretty sure P0500 refers to the sensor that's on the t-case output.
Yep!

Looking like it's either that one or the one on the transmission. T-case seems more likely from the info I've seen so far.

Hopefully just slipping and not broken…
Yup.. you'd think a diesel is heavy, but apparently not. Slipping and sliding like a new born Bambi so we had to take care of that

Had a good time with some good people.
On serious note I would like to publicly thank @JakeisbadatThis for saving my life today.
Yes you read that correctly.
As we were waiting at Ottobine ES for the meet up I had a bit of a sandwich not go down the correct pipe and was quite literally. Choking to death. His quick observation and quicker action asking do you need a Heimlich ? Followed by one Heimlich thrust cleared my throat and allowed me to breathe. The Mexican meal after the run was a very small price to pay for not choking to death.
Thank you.

@1MOA is not exaggerating. @JakeisbadatThis acted fast! I was too dumb wondering what was going on and Jake saw it right away. Saved Alexi on the spot with no issues. Never seen anything like that in my life. Well executed, Sir. Jake should not buy his own beers for any 2025 club meetings.

I'm just happy you're alright @1MOA! My wife brought up a point of we should probably have a first aid training class for stuff like this. I've never done the heimlich before and was just copying what I'd seen in media. Hate to be on the trail and one of yall need cpr, i have medical stuff for broken limbs and lacerations. But it was kinda freaky being like 'holy f he could die if i f this up' and not even being slightly sure of what i was doing

WOW, nice work Jake! My son had to do this with a coworker one day in his office...he was untrained too, but right place/right time and enough common sense to get it done. That said, I totally agree with the CPR training! Maybe a good club event that we could organize for members and possibly spouses? My wife and I have been talking about taking a class now that we're almost up to 4 grandchildren (4th due in may) under the age of 4 that we babysit for often.

And Jake, we need to get you some tires with a bit more bite! ;) 🦀

Proof that the age of club members is getting too high! Worrying about people croaking over while on the trails.

Jake is just doing whatever he can to make sure he gets an officer spot next club election

Thankful that Jake caught the signs early, sounds like you all had a great run.

My wife and I have taken the wilderness first aid class a couple of times. It is a two day class and it is a lot of information however it does have a lot of benefit since often we are more than a few hours from the hospital in the areas we are traveling or wheeling.

Even a basic first aid cpr class can be taken online would be a huge plus. I'm 52 this year, dammit someone better be ready to give me CPR!
