It will be a very quick run back to the river to make sure I've got the trail nailed down and to check the water level for the crossing on the 5th.

the river is high right now, all the washes are flowing pretty good too.

BTW martinez canyon is incredibly washed out, its at least a 3 rating now just to get to the cabins. as i went in i can recongnize the features and i know what SHOULD be there but the whole trail has become one big rock garden. as far as i know i am the first and only vehicle to date that has gone to the V-notch.

Where was that 1st pic taken?

With the funeral and everything I didn't get out there this weekend.

Sorry to hear about your Grandmother BMAN. I was wondering what happened to you and the crew you were supposed to come in with. Sunday was definitely the best day pretty much all week.
BTW the first photo of RHINO is just past the mill at the V-notch. I stopped my rig at the fork.
Had a decent weekend of wheeling. Checked out Jackhandle, Coke Ovens, and about half of Martinez Canyon. Every wash and creek in the area is flowing.

like rush said the 1st pic is the view approaching the v-notch, i think you called it yellow something wall??

here is a pic looking down the trail toward the mill from the v-notch

I have allways herd it called yellowbelly ledge.

Nice pics

there ya go, yellowbelly ledge. names tend to get made up when you dont run trails with guys who know them :D

rush should have a few pics of the other parts of the trail that were way more impresive driving wise.
