Hi Guys,
I live in Victoria, Australia and have 2005 IFS 100 TD (1HD-FTE ) it has been my daily driver and work vehicle for the past 4 years, I have been setting it up for touring, with almost 100 000 km's (60 000 miles) on the clock I now want to put it into semi retirement for trips and leave the daily work to something a bit smaller.
I purchased it new in Feb. 2005 and the next day had ARB fit,
ARB Bulbar
ARB Rear bar (installation delayed till July)
IPF Spots
ARB Air compressor
2" OME suspension
Front and rear air lockers
Longranger 180 litre long range tank
Safari snorkel
Safari Dtronic power upgrade (173kw & 525Nm)
10,000 lb Warn
ARB Roof rack
ARB Auxiliary 3rd battery
Over the next year I did many short trips in preparation for a 12 week trip to the Kimberley’s in Western Australia and fitted,
Tanami Drawer system
GME radio
33” Goodyear MTRs
After 20,000 klm trip towing my Tvan camper on some of Australias’ worst corrugated tracks I was disappointed with the performance of the OME suspension and replaced it with Bilstien shocks, Ridepro springs and slee diff drop which gave me a much better ride and a little more lift.
After a few hard weekend trips in the Victorian High country I then had to replace my plastic bashplates and standard side steps with some locally manufactured sliders and one piece bashplate from Assassin Offroad.
