Just do a VIN search and make damn sure it's stolen way back in it's past. Even south of the border.
Some guy puts a tow hook on it and it's gone no matter how much of 'your money' is in it.

I can understand that... if it was a few hundred bucks like project cruisers used to be, it'd be easier to swallow. Everything is getting so expensive. I bought my running and driving 40 for $1250... a the time $3000 would get a running & driving truck with minimal rust and half decent paint.

How times have changed.
