Going to Moab this spring for probably the 8th time or so. Our group tends to run everything that is rated 4 or higher. You can only run Pritchett so many times before it begins to become boring.

This year I'm thinking of breaking with tradition and running some other trails, preferably scenic ones with a challenge here and there to mix things up.

What is your favorite non-hardcore trail in Moab.

Adam

Golden Spike--Has a bit of everything and plenty of challenge. Best all-around trail in Moab.

Hell's Revenge--Exciting, not difficult. The Hell's Gate part is very interesting, but can be skipped if desired.

White Rim is amazing, but tame. Takes a long day to run it or better 2 days.

White Rim looks pretty neat. I also haven't done Hurrah Pass, Chicken Corners or Gemini Bridges either. I'll do some research on those too.

Thanks,

Adam

Long canyon. Super easy, but very scenic, and not too long. Near deadhorse point.

Adam, it's too bad you didn't get any good shots of that trail.

Elephant Hill and Chicken Corners.

I believe you have to sign up for camping spots for White Rim about a year in advance, or you can do it in one longish day. But the pleasure would be stretching it out over 2 or 3. I signed up for my camping pass the day they opened registration a few months ago for this coming spring, but don't have a day assignment yet. It gets crowded because of all of the mountain bikers and their support trucks.
